Packing

It is almost time now. Only three more days before I leave my comfortable, calm life in Sweden for the unknown Asian country Nepal.

I'm not packed at all yet, because how do you decide what to pack for five months in a country you've never been to before? Should I pack for summer or winter? Should I pack my favourite clothes or clothes that can be thrown away when I leave? Should I pack a lot or as little as possible? All of these choices are driving me mad and therefore, no packing has been completed so far.

For the moment my main priority is to make sure I say bye to all of my friends before I leave. It feels as if I will be leaving for a lifetime when in fact it's only for five short months. How much do you usually get done in five months anyway? The only thing I will be missing out on is the rainy autumn days which will grow darker and more depressing for each day that goes by, right? But I can't help wondering how on earth I will be able to manage without my family and friends for half a year. Is this really such a good idea?

Right, stop thinking about what I'll miss and get back to packing! Most important is my camera, my money and my passport I guess that everything else could be bought in Nepal. After all, how different could it be?...
